We're away Oct but not convinced we will be going, fear the worst and hope for the best.

There's no guarantee that the kids will be going back to school before the summer holidays, there was talk a few weeks ago that this virus could peak as late as mid June in UK.

But on the flip side, if planes are still grounded by July then boy oh boy the travel industry is in a hole. I guess it's all about getting the balance right.

We go late June. We are hoping by then the country has started moving again. We have told our kids there is a good chance we are not going but as above... We are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

Same here, we have looked at all the cancellation/reschedule policies, and the only risk I can’t mitigate is paying the remainder of the villa which is due on 22 April. I will decide nearer then, but if I cancel on 22nd May I get a 50% refund, so will probably pay it and are the final decision on 22nd May.

We are due to fly out on 1st July, So far have only paid a deposit to BA (Flights/Villa) and deposit for park tickets. Remaining balance due May. If I cancel now I stand to lose £400 If I wait it out and pay the remainder I stand to lose over £4k.

We go 13th July. Ive paid £200 to Disney, £1200 for virgin flights booked through a TA, small deposit to travel republic fir our universal hotel & £100 to ATD for our universal tickets. So £1500 in total. Don’t know wether to loose this money by cancelling or pay the balance which will be due between April & May, then get a refund or moved the dates if we can’t go. It so much money to be handing over in uncertain times😢

Surely insurance will cover cancellations?

We're supposed to be flying out 6th August and currently like others fearing the worse hoping for the best. Luckily all booked through Charter Travel and paid deposits with credit cards and have travel insurance via the bank. If the worse does happen we are pretty well protected and not worried about not getting money back/refunds as was all booked and paid well before any travel bans and Covid-19 outbreak.

Surely if the flights are cancelled you are entitled to a full refund?

We are due to go 27th June and I don’t think we’ll be able to go.

Was thinking of trying to rebook for the first two weeks in December but that’s on hold for now
