Anyone watching Sir Richard Branson’s first flight into space?
Fantastic achievement on this English day

What’s to celebrate? It’s rich people taking a piddling contest against each other. Branson has been after this for years but barely got it off the ground before others came biting at his ankles. For someone who couldn’t make trains run on time I’d be wary of handing over hundreds of thousands to him for this.

The coverage tone etc was far to self congratulatory for my taste - but glad it flew ok ..

Love him or hate him his tribute to his mother today was heartwarming and emotional.

I’ll settle for my memory of a champagne supersonic flight on Concorde with my mum out to the Bay of Biscay, with many other people experiencing something amazing.
Something ordinary people could actually afford to do. |

Got to admit it’s pretty cool, but also part of me remembers Branson lobbying for bail outs not too long ago
