Ascension Day 2022

I was looking at travelling May half term next year. The plan was to spend 2/3 night in Paris and 4/5 nights in Disney. I’ve just realised ascension day falls on the Thursday of half term. Will it be busy all week or just the Thursday onwards? If it’s just the Thursday onwards I’ll schedule Disney and the start and then move in to Paris! 👍

Anyone with any experience travelling round ascension day?

We’ve not travelled then but just as a related point, you must have a different half term to us (Cumbria begins Amon 30th May) so there might not be the full whack of Brits there if it’s not a universal half term.

I live in France. It will be busy from Wednesday onwards at a guess (Wednesday is a half day at schools!) It will definitely be very busy from Thursday! The schools are all off on the Friday!

Luckily, our half term ( NE) is the following week too so the Brits will be spread out over two weeks !

You’re right! I’ve just checked and I’m a week out with the school holidays, that will be much better then and can stick to my original plan 👍 I’m pleased I checked.
