May 2019 All Inclusive WDW Two Seniors

http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/plan...ew.php?p=59255

My wife and I are both retired and travel a lot, mostly now on cruises.

We have been visiting WDW for many year since buying a Sheraton Vistana time share about 20 years ago. Mostly our trips have been with family on a fairly tight budget, but we recently saw an ad for an all inclusive trip and thought we’d splash out for a change.

We have booked 14 nights at AKL, with 14 day Ultimate passes and DDP, in May 2019.

We fly out with BA in club class and got free seat reservations through our TA. We’ll take DME on arrival, then collect rental car from Dolphin Resort the next day.

We have made most of our ADR’s and plan to take advantage of EMH and fast passes, particularly to ride Avatar.

We also plan on visiting as many wildlife reserves as possible.

We’d welcome suggestions for slower paced activities, particularly off site.

Old town on Saturdays is great with the classic car shows. Plenty of shopping to do too with either the premium outlets or the malls. There will be plenty of boat tours on the swamps too if you like wildlife. If you don't mind driving you could take a trip to the coast. We went to Clearwater and it was really nice. We also drove past what looked like a vineyard just off the 192 which might make a good afternoon out if they do tours.

If you're looking on-site too there's the crazy golf courses which are fun and slower paced. I think they are included in some of the multi-day tickets just not sure if it's all of them. Most of the hotels offer activities so it would be worth looking into what's available at AKL.

Hope these help and have a great time!

Winter park is lovely and not too far to drive. Beautiful scenic boat trips. A great way to spend a lazy day. Grab an ice cream and sit in the park. We wil definitely go there next year and are looking into taking the train. Also top golf near ID will be on our list next year. Even if you are not a golfer it’s a great day out.

Celebration or boardwalk to just relax and watch everything go by .
Animal kingdom lodge is a great hotel with loads of lookouts to watch all the animals, they have an early morning safari too

Agree to drop some of the Boma reservations. Your credits can be used anywhere on property and while Boma is nice, it's not worth 5 trips.

If you enjoy that style of food though, I'd recommend looking at Tiffins - it's signature so you'll need 2 credits but very well rated. It's inside Animal Kingdom so would fit on a park day, although you're so close at AKL that it could be an easy pop in after an off site day as well.
