American Crime Story / ryan murphy shows

anyone else watch ACS?

i recently started on the first season (trial of oj simpson) and am about halfway through it (gf watched it back when it was first airing) and really enjoying it!

not sure the versace one (season 2) is for me, ill see how i get on, but we sat down to the first episode of the clinton/lewinsky one last night, its got caitlin moran from "how to build a girl" as monica lewinsky!

definitely worth a watch too.

but on a related tip, who watches the other ryan murphy/brad fulchuk shows? obviosuly, theres american horror story, but on top of that, theres "american horror stories", the spinoff of shorts, 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: lonestar, pose, ratched, scream queens (a personal favourite, which i think ill be watching again soon) and glee, amongst others...

I loved his early show Nip/Tuck but was a bit gross at times.

The OJ series was definitely the best of the crime stories. I lost interest in the Versace one and Clive Owen is so bad as Clinton I stopped watching.

its clive owen! i saw him right at the end of the first episode and wondered who it was (but was too lazy to check the credits)

i'm not sure i'll get on with the versace one either, it's just not something i'm particularly bothered about. will give it a try though, see how i get on. seasons 1&3 first though!

911 and 911 lonestar are on disney plus if anyone is interested. its great... its basically casualty, but with the budget of a final destination movie

Can’t get in to this, it just didn’t grab me.
Enjoy AHS (apart from a couple of the more recent seasons and haven’t seen the latest yet) I like American horror stories so far especially as it featured the murder house.
Love scream queens and currently rewatching that.
Ratched was good and enjoyed that.
Would not watch Glee if you paid me 😬

My favourite shows. The Versace one was amazing- try to keep watching, I thought it’s brilliant. Better than the OJ one- a study of how someone becomes a psychopath the Versace one. Amazing.

Does anyone know when the Clinton one is on in the U.K.?

Ratched I quite liked. American Horror Story I have found too slow (series 1).

have you tried any of the other seasons? they are all totally diffent, standalone shows, apart from maybe apocalypse where it probably helped if you'd seen a couple of previous series, as some characters returned

i'd suggest coven in n'orleans, or 1984 (summer camp slasher), or freakshow to begin with. hotel looks stunning, but i found a little dull, and cult is still a little too close to the bone with all the alt-right stuff

I love Murphy/ Falchuk, 911 and Lonestar are great series, Ratched is fabulous, Hollywood was amazing too with Jim Parsons (this was just Murphy though)

Will definitely check this out and we havent watched Politician yet
