Even if BA keep the A380s longer term, the Club Suite layout takes more space than the existing Club World seats, I doubt making First smaller would help enough and there is no realistic opportunity to put more seats across in economy to create space (11 across downstairs may be technically possible, though pretty unappealing).

It might come down to how long they are retained, but all the priority right now will be on retrofitting the rest of the 777 fleet with Club Suites. My guess is that it's been brought back on a few routes because BA needs A350s/777s on other routes.

Agree, couldn't see BA putting any aircraft with a First cabin, let alone an A380 which also has nearly 100 business class seats to fill, on MCO regularly. Additionally, MCO is not an AA hub, onward connecting traffic is a factor when getting enough people on a flight across the Atlantic on such a large aircraft. I think MCO can potentially handle regular A380 flights, but maybe only one gate equipped for it.

Are you sure it was Emirates? I've only ever experienced directly forward-facing seats in business class on EK A380s and 777s. Don't think it has any herringbone / reverse herringbone layouts. Qatar Airways has angled business class seats on some aircraft (reverse herringbone, similar layout to BA First / Club Suites). I do agree that Emirates business class is good on the A380, but not out of this world. I'm not a big fan of its 777 layout.

All club seats will eventually be upgraded to club suites on all aircraft.
