London Restaurant Recommendations

Hello All

Just after a restaurant recommendation for next Friday night. I have left it a bit late to book really.
We won't be able to eat before 8.30 realistically.

I wanted to try Bob Bob Ricard, but the earliest table is 10.00 and I am an old fogey!

We really loved City Social and Sketch last October, but thought that Nobu was really over priced. Went to Bubba Gump for coconut shrimp too, obviously!

Any suggestions gratefully received, thanks.

We had a lovely meal at Ivy Asia a few weeks ago, they have two St Paul’s and Chelsea. Have also seen lots of recommendations for Amazonica.

Ooh, if you’re in the mood to splurge, Ruya is my current favourite.
*OH just said it was the wine and many cocktails that made it a splurge!

We went a couple of weeks ago. I’ll try and find pics.
Otherwise, German Gymnasium is a firm
favourite here and Hawksmoor too.
Sea Containers also and Ekta (I need to check spelling) was a place we woukd re-visit.
Plus Holborn Dining Room 😋😋😋

Sea Containers

That’s the only pic of food I have from there it seems

Ruya

It’s fantastic.
We were late back to our hotel and undecided on food so this was a very last minute decision. We’d not been before. Such a good one!

We are going for brunch at Aqua Shard on Saturday. My sister brought us vouchers for Christmas and I must use them, but I am very apprehensive about the height! City Social was bad enough and I think this is higher!

I haven’t been there. I’ll look it up!
Enjoy!

We went to Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Mayfair last week and it was fantastic. The food was amazing.

If you like Jason Atherton as City Social would suggest then Berners Tavern. Alternatively Pollen Street Social or if you like dim sum Yauatcha in Broadgate Circle.
