I hate sunbed wars, never set an alarm on holiday. The best way to avoid it is a Villa! We’ve been to some lovely ones and it’s so nice to always have the pool and sun loungers available. You can move them to the sun, to the shade and not be worried about anyone else!
It was like this when we went years ago. Really good idea.

Not so much sunbed wars here in St Lucia but umbrellas. Funny though it is the Brits who are ones getting up early to reserve them then disappear for most of the day. The Americans are the ones who come later to look for shade. At least when I got one I shared with an American couple who were looking for some shade. And before anyone remarks. Yes I spent the whole time using it
