cyclops Planning a Wedding in LA

Hi all,

We are starting to look at planning our wedding in LA and wondered if anyone else has done this before/ recently?

Is there any advice you could give about venues, getting a marriage licence etc.

Thank you

So I have come across my first potential problem in planning.

Myself and DBF have started to email venues in LA for viewing slots. One place came back and asked for a viewing fee... is this normal?

I'd ask the question on the knot forums where there will be lots of LA brides, certainly not normal in Texas, Utah, Nevada and Florida when we were looking but LA is a bit pretentious so it's entirely possible a venue might do it to weed out time wasters I suppose
