Monterey to Burbank

Is this a doable journey in one day? If we leave early where would you stop on the way down(any must sees plus a stop for lunch?)
We will have driven on the PCH the day before

When are you doing it? If soon, then the PCH is closed and you would need to use the interstate for it and would be no problem. However, if you plan to detour onto parts of the PCH then it will take much longer.

We will do some of the PCH the day before and drive back upto Montereyto stay overnight. The following morning we will leave but may use another night to stop somewhere. I was going to stop at Pismo but any other places you would suggest

We have the same drive as yourself. Looked at Pismo but couldn't really get excited by it, so have plumped for Solvang instead! Gives us the chance to look around San Luis Obispo/Pismo area if we feel like it! It means we can then fit in the Getty Museum on our way to Santa Monica.
