Highlands reserve villas

Hi
I am due to stay in Highlands reserve in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know if this area was hit badly?
Thanks. X

I'm still waiting for official confirmation from my MC about my villa in particular, but from our HR owners forum, it seems that Highlands Reserve has come out of this relatively unscathed. Several trees were brought down around the community but they have already been removed by our very active HOA and as far as I know, most villas only have damage to pool screens and a few roof shingles missing here and there. Only two villas that I know of have had their pool cages collapse.

The electricity is on and was at my own villa all through the hurricane, as I was able to log into my thermostats online all the way through the storm.

So all in all, its good news from HR so you can look forward to a wonderful holiday again.

Debra

We are here just now in troon circle. We have no damage at all. Think we were very lucky. Haven't seen much damage just a lot of tree debris.

Our lovely Dibb owner, Penny (Owens5558) has kept in touch with us throughout, keeping us updated. We were due to travel out on Saturday 9th, but rescheduled to tomorrow.

Minimal damage to Penny's villa, and we are hoping to be there this time tomorrow evening

I contacted the owner of a villa on Highlands - North Hampton Drive. No damage at all. Looks like a lucky escape.

Thanks all. The villa we rent is on Higher Combe Drive overlooking the golf course, so is quite exposed, but all sounds very positive.

We are in north Hampton drive, pool screen damaged and debris in pool but otherwise all ok. They have been out today to do a clear up of the tree debris around the streets. Should be back to normal soon I think.

I arrived in Orlando on Tuesday and I'm in a villa at Highlands Reserve. There is the debris laying around after high winds but it is being cleaned up.

I haven't been into Highlands Reserve itself - we are only just across the road. Damage around the whole area is relatively light and superficial. Driving around, you have to look closely to spot it.
The main issue now is that various places scattered along the US27 have lost power (e.g. 60 of the 598 homes at Regal Palms, and the Cracker Barrel at Dunson Rd), but Duke say it is due to be fixed by Sunday at the latest - I think HR is OK though.
