Disney Boardwalk

Sorry if this has been asked in the past but can anyone visit Disney Boardwalk for a walk around in the evening. We are not planning on having any Disney tickets this time. Also is parking free, if we can visit?

Anyone can visit any Disney resort. You don't need to be resident at any other resort nor do you need to have park tickets.

In theory they may only allow parking for 3 hours if you have a dining reservation but loads of Dibbers seem to just turn up at the barrier and are allowed to park and have a look round. You can't use the pools but everywhere else is accessible.

We always choose to park up at DS and catch the free WDW bus to get there.

You'll find jugglers and magicians there in the evening. You can also catch a WDW boat to Y&BC, S&D and HS.

You can certainly visit, but the only way you’ll get free parking is if you have a dining reservation. Otherwise you’ll need to pay $25 for valet parking

As others have said, can only park for free if you have a dining reservation. Park at DS and hop on a bus for free parking.
Boardwalk is well worth a visit though in my opinion, such a lovely atmosphere, some lovely bars and places to eat!

You can catch a bus from Disney Springs but it does take some time to get there.

Shame that the Boardwalk no longer offer free visitor parking. We used this on our last trip and enjoyed the entertainment and would like to do it again.
Anyone know if a valid disney parking receipt would be accepted?
Alternatively how long does the boat from HS take each way?
Could we enjoy the Boardwalk and get to HS to see the Galactic Spectacular at 9pm.

Edited at 10:45 AM.

We parked for free in December just gone (daytime though) We just said to the parking attendant that we wanted to have a little walk round and she waved us through to park on the left. We stayed a while, had a milkshake, watched a wedding and had a mooch. Maybe we were just lucky?
