We managed to blag our way in without a reservation back in 2014. I get the feeling that they are much tighter these days. You might get lucky though - worst case is you have to turn around and find somewhere else or pay $25 for the valet

The car park/s at Boardwalk are simply not big enough for guests and conventioneers and it is pet gripe of mine. The one advantage of being bored with Disney plus being a Boardwark DVC owner with no intention of returning is that we won't have the trauma of trying to park at our hotel!

Alternatively how long does the boat from HS take each way?
Could we enjoy the Boardwalk and get to HS to see the Galactic Spectacular at 9pm.
No to the parking receipt. As you suggest - if you're visiting HS anyway then park at HS and boat or walk to Boardwalk, would be your best bet then back for fireworks at 9pm.

The boat can take up to half hour once you've factored in waiting and stopping at the various stops. Get off at Swan/Dolphin and walk across the bridge.

We stayed at Boardwalk for 2 weeks last year and the walk never took more than 10 minutes. It really isn't far and a pleasant pathway.

I know there are different experiences of parking at WDW resorts but being stopped at the gate was always a bit hit and miss at Boardwalk. Sometimes we were literally waved through with no checks or explanation of why we were there. Other times a flash of a magicband would suffice and only on a couple of occasions were we asked for any form of ID.

Made us a little annoyed sometimes as you can see why parking space is at a premium for resort guests paying to stay there.

Thanks, just reviewed the map in MDE and spotted the path, looks easy as you say.

Not sure if I can post this but it's a youtube video of the pathway all the way from The International Gateway at EPCOT to Hollywood Studios entrance. The path from Boardwalk starts at about 13.50.

Lovely walk. Wave to the friendship boats.

of course you can park there and have a walk around. They have no way of knowing you have a dining reservation and we have never been asked to prove it. You can have a great night there walking around and having a look at the hotels. Disney dont mind it as it promotes there hotels
