July is the only time we can go, we go to Florida in July so we’re used to the heat, will it be much hotter or about the same? Also thinking about staying in the Cosmopolitan anybody been?

It’s a dry heat and completely different than Florida heat. We were warned before we went (September) but were still shocked at the difference. Sometimes it was actually hard to breathe and we found when we went to speak, our lips were stuck to our teeth Don’t let it put you off though. It’s doable with lots of bottled water and regular trips into shops / casinos.

We went July into August and it was hot, hot, hot! But we absolutely loved it, and we weaved in and out of the hotels as we went down the strip to keep cool. Would definitely go again at that time of year, but to be fair the hotter the better for us which I know doesn’t suit everyone.

As others have said, it's hot. even breathing was uncomfortable as the air is hotter than body temperature. Hasn't put us off - we're going back in June!

It’s an experience. We landed at midnight and it was 112 degrees. Next morning I came out of the hotel and it was a bit windy and it literally felt like a hair dryer on your face. Not like Orlando in July at all, although in some ways because it’s lower humidity it isn’t as sapping.
I quite enjoyed it though because I like it hot. They have quite a lot of sprays about. |

Nope, I'd never do Vegas in July again. The heat is a very dry heat so seems much hotter and it absorbs into the road and buildings during the day and is released at night so it's just as hot but you can feel it through your shoes.
It may just be because we're pasty white Scots but my poor friend got badly sunburned just crossing the road. We must have been in the sun for a couple of minutes and she was bright red and that was with factor 50 on. We spent the rest of the time running between hotels on those bridges trying not to get burnt again. That being said it was still a great holiday, though an inside one lol |

We went in June last year and said never again at that time of year, it was far too hot for us. Went to the pool to cool down but even the pool water was warm-ish! lol

We did last July into August and it was HOT! but we found it very manageable compared to Florida, the only point we found it uncomfortable was at Hoover Dam as there is no shade, but we just went and cooled off.
It depends if you like the heat, we love it hot and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, so much so we're taking the family back in 9 weeks and getting married whilst there.
