We also used them did the champagne lunch in the canyon do the longer tour it's worth it you get amazing commentary from the pilot too

I’ve booked with Maverick helicopters on their wind dancer tour. They fly from Las Vegas airport so you get to fly over the strip on the way back.

Papillion, Maverick and Sundance are the 3 main companies that do the helicopter tours. We did Maverick and couldn't fault it.

You can do different tours going from different locations. You can do the tours from Las Vegas airport, Boulder City (near the hoover dam) and from the West and South rim locations.

If you have a must do of the sky walk then it would be one from the West Rim. Downside is you don't get to fly over things like the Hoover dam or strip, but do get to be at the rim to do other things. Its about 2-5 hours each way to the rim then the helicopter journey.

The South rim is the most spectacular and will be the one you have seen on the posters and films etc. That is s 4.5 hour drive each way from Las Vegas.

Thank you for the information i will take a look at Maverick too to see what they have :-)

We used sun dance for the sunset tour. It was good but I would have chosen one of the tours that go to the bottom as sundance stops half way down.

The other thing is it included a picnic and they spent a lot of time trying to get us to the picnic rather than let us look. I felt rushed.

We flew with Maverick we flew over the Hoover Dam,Grand Canyon landed at a Ranch for lunch and horse riding then back to Vegas airport via the strip. Excellent trip and 1st class service.
