Mobile This new 10K benefit !?!?

I have not got my head round this or have any real understanding on it properly but it seems that if this happens everyone of a certain age bracket will get 10K ?
It does not matter what their current income is but if you are claiming benefits then those would stop.
Not sure if I have got that right but surely only the well off will be better off?
Crikey my friends are pretty wealthy but tight as cramp and will claim for anything and everything! So on his 90k income he can get an extra 10K when some one on benefits could actually be worse off? I don’t get it.

I didn’t really understand it completely but there was a trade off mentioned so you loose something such as a tax benefit (?). You also had to apply for it, rather than just be given it, and prove (?) what you wanted it for I think.

Me too, but a quick search figured it out. I'm assuming it's relating to the RSA report, which is nowhere near being a real thing yet. It's for when robots take over our jobs according to The Sun, but here's a more reputable source.

Blimey I’ve missed out on everything... missed out on when the government gave money for newborns, missed out on getting any help with child care whilst working, my kids missed out on ema in school, and now will miss out on this as I will be too old by then

It would be lovely to give a benefit to carers of more than £1 an hour instead of completely accross the board. Just a bit of nonsense i think, is there an election looming?!?!

Not yet it isn't but don't think for a minute that 1 000 000s of jobs will be lost to robots in 30 years, this is not fantasy but fact.

Universal credit is the only way forward unless you want to create a sub society totally forgotten by those in the money.

theguardian/technolo...life-insurance

I work in payments and procurement and I will be more or less redundant by 2020 another fact.
