no probs, it's definitely worth the looking around at the moment in preparation for other airlines opening up their availability - you'll be able to get an idea of flight times etc to see what suits you best.
it's all about patience with this, have a price in your head that is the max you're willing to go to, it'll help you to take a look at some of the threads for 2018 to get an idea of what people are paying for when you want to go in 2019.

We booked fly drive for this summer and decided to fly into Tampa, after driving last year in Florida we know it's a fairly straight run and hopefully we'll get out of the airport quicker- paid £2300 for 2 adults 2 teens And a grand caravan sized car for last two weeks of August - flying from Gatwick but worth the extra £100 for hotel the night before and get twilight check in. BA were by far the best and as it was fly drive didn't have to pay all upfront
Good luck finding your flights

We book BA fly drives. For this summer we're going Heathrow to Miami for 19 days with a 7 seater car & a night in Deerfield beach. We did the same in 2016. BA are defiantly cheaper than virgin for fly drives like another poster said, with the benefit of all inc car hire with Avis. I've looked at Virgin fly drives but by the time you upgrade the car and insurance it's a massive increase! We're going on 16th August and I booked our flights in September 2017. Most airlines will be 11 months out. Virgin have package deals on sale, as do Thomas cook and TC also have flight only for sale too.

Another vote for BA here as well. It is true that you will be able to book a Virgin Holidays Fly Drive for Summer 19 just now however you will most likely pay well over the odds for the privilege. Virgin holidays also don't include Car Insurance, whereas BA car hire is fully inclusive, so you need to add on perhaps £300 to the Virgin cost. To put things in perspective this year we have booked 2 BA holidays to Florida for much the same as 1 Fly Drive which I quoted with Virgin.
Another good feature of the BA site is that you can customise your trip for example to Fly in to Orlando and out via Miami or Tampa if you plan to tour about. The Car can also be returned to the departure airport. As other posters have also mentioned all you need to pay is a deposit and not the full cost like some insist on.

I will keep a look out for british airways, just out of curiosity how much pp should I be looking at paying? I can get prices up for this june for comparison and they are coming in around £2700 o BA for our family of 5 and an infant.
is this a good price? |
