What about the old 'park at disney springs for free and get a free bus to the park's - this coupled with a cheap entry level car may help

Could they cancel dc and use that money? Is it too late to move to a hotel closer maybe on 192?

that's not possible as the trip is paid for and they leave in 7 weeks!

I will have a chat again re their budget and make them see - there are always ways to find a bit more money so fingers crossed I can help them come up with ways to up the budget - ebay, car boot sale etc

I suggested cancelling Discovery Cove as that is almost the cost of their whole leftover budget but that is what they are most looking forward to and is already paid for so not much I can do there.

I felt bad I guess because it just felt like I was being a downer on their trip but I really do want to help them so I will make them see the light x

I think u need to lay it on thick.
This is starving for a week time.
Show her the cost of all day eating at seaworld.
If shes doing usf pre buy dining plan. Get some to buy it as a wedding gift maybe?

Oh dear! I am amazed they hadn't looked into costs a little bit before now.

It's super tight! Have they factored in food money that they would usually spend at home on the weekly shop? They need to look at places to eat that have special offers, happy hours, over 50s menus, vouchers, Groupons etc.

I think your idea of seeing if they can change hotel to one with some kitchen facilities is a really good idea too.

Lyft and Uber will be cheaper than hiring a car, petrol and parking.

Do they need to do all the parks or could they cut back a little on these as the tickets will be expensive, this will free up some cash

Agree they really do have far too many park tickets for a fourteen day stay (and only ten near the parks). However I fear these may have already been bought and I don't think refundable.

Although their budget seems set could they not take a credit card to use for when they eventually run out? Not ideal, but with 7 weeks to go they may struggle to up their available budget
