Accommodation help pofq change to ssr or not
I booked last April for 14 nights in sept at pofq but have since booked flights and changed to 17 nights. Pofq isn’t available (in fact much isnt) but ssr in a deluxe studio is for 700 extra (inc Ddp and 3 extra nights)
We have a 6 and 3 year old and liked pofq as it’s small and only one bus stop. Would you change to ssr or hold out in the hope pofq becomes available (not sure how likely that is though) Thanks

The problem is that if you don’t change you have nowhere to stay for part of your trip. POFQ may become available after free nights ends but there’s no way to know. We had a similar dilemma as we were hoping to switch to POFQ but no availability however after booking flights for different dates than we’d booked CSR for I had to decide whether to bite the bullet and change while CSR was available or hold off hoping for POFQ. I made the change so I knew we were booked in for length of stay.

Thanks both. Yes we would have to sacrifice the ddp and either swap resorts and rent dvc or perhaps stay off site for a few days.
Such a shame as love the look of pofq but when we booked we didn’t really know about flights

Can you not keep your 14 nights and then rent points for the last 3 nights and stay somewhere like old key west or beach club? points rental isn't too bad in September and you'll get to experience 2 resorts.

I am debating that but we are arriving a day later and also means losing the free dining plan for those days which id need to weigh up

So your reservation would then be 13 nights pofq with free dining and 4 days with no free dining and having to rent points elsewhere? The 4 nights accommodation would probably cost you at the minimum £150 so you are better off staying at SSR. Its a nice resort and has lots of different pools. Close to Disney Springs which has the best QS food options and the amazing Homecomin' restaurant which make me salivate just thinking about it! I think an extra £700 with free dining included is a good deal. Hope you have a blast!

Yes 13 nights as we went for cheaper flights and added a couple of extra nights on.
Ahh thanks. I’d love if we could be guaranteed a refurb at ssr. A little worried about the size with small kids and some dodgy reviews on buses but aside from that it looks nice. Failing that chuck an extra 1500 quid for beach club but I’d rather put it towards a return journey lol

If your kids love pools and sand they would LOVE the beach club - £1500 isn't a big difference in price between 14 nights at pofq and 17 nights at beach club with free dining :-) but as you say, if its money you can put towards another trip then SSR will be brilliant too x

What kid doesn’t love pool and sand lol! God don’t tempt me ha! I want to build in down time too so it would be a good place for the non park times. I think was 7592 beach club vs 5807 ssr (5064 pofq but that’s 14 not 17)
I’m torn between saying use the savings and enjoy it or it’s only a place to sleep and go again in 2022
