The seven sisters books by Lucinda Riley. Really enjoyed them.

The Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitech. It's a cross between detective drama and magic. Sounds a bit odd but really, really good.

The five by Hallie Rubenhold. It’s about the victims of Jack the Ripper. It’s true and looks at how they lived rather than how they died and is a fascinating insight into poor Victorian London. Very sad but not gory.

I recently read Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. It was a bit different and I really enjoyed it.
