Stalin the cat - positive thoughts please

A few of you might remember the story of Stalin the stray cat from a couple of years ago:

His story

(so named for ruling the neighbourhood cats with an iron fist)

Anyway, he's been happily living with my neighbour. He's calmed down a lot and is a big, contented, beautiful purry boy.

Neighbour knocked on my door this morning and asked me to go have a look at him as he was outside (we share a garden with this neighbour in our row of terraces as no solid fence between us). Unfortunately Stalin looked like he was breathing very fast and he also hadn't been eating. I checked him over and advised my neighbour to call the vet as he didn't look right. Vet said to keep an eye on him.

By the evening he didn't look any better and had hidden under the bed without eating. My neighbour called the emergency vet but he was too upset to drive so I took the cat there.

Long story short - he is now on oxygen and in a critical state with fluid on his lungs. Neighbour is in a right state but vowed to get him the best treatment to give him the best chance to recover.

So if we can send some positive thoughts for a beautiful stray that has finally found his forever home then I would be very grateful x
