SF Virgin reward seats - how long after release did you book
Has anyone actually managed to book reward seats to SF from LHR?
If you have please could you let me know how long after the pay for seats were released you found & booked the reward seats. I'm after 4 EC or PE 15 or 16 Aug, will be part of a combi fare. We will fly back from Vegas 1 sept, I'll also look at using my miles for that leg if can't get SF, and reversing the trip if reward seats into LV are available - not at the moment! They started releasing for 15th Aug on Tues. So far only a couple of EC & UC been released, but no more than 1 of each on different days. However there is really good availability in June in all classes. If I have to wait several months for seats that's fine. I'd love to know your successes if you don't mind sharing. Thanks

I booked mine for my SF for Aug 14 in Sep 13 the day they were released in the reward sale. We flew home from LA and we're lucky enough to book them in the seat sale to. This year we had a return flight to vegas booked on release days last September. Each flight I have phoned flying club about 9 am on the day booked them. They have even held them for me while I changed clubcard vouchers over to miles. Very helpful staff.

I've been ringing everyday since they were released, FC as you say really helpful. Unfortunately at the moment no reward seats at all for 16th (our preferred date) & 1 EC & 1 UC for 15th.
I'm not giving up hope though! Thanks for taking the time to reply though as it does help x

This year we flew in and out of vegas because they were the only flights I could get for my dates. We used southwest airlines for internal flights out of vegas only $44 each to san francisco area.worth looking at that as well.
