Early Magic Hour is definitely the way to go. Most characters won't be out yet (princess hall opens though), but the ride times will be shorter now than later for sure.
As someone who goes to WDW and now DLP, the way people react to the scheduled times in DLP is so different. If a character meet is on the poster or in the printed schedule for midday, there will be queuing from 11. 11:15 if the weather is a bit rubbish. And things that you could just rock up to in WDW, like a dance party or other pop up entertainment that is smaller than a parade or castle show (like Dino Bash in AK or Dapper Dans on Main Street) will have a crowd well in advance. We went to Rafiki's dance this summer and it's totally something you could walk up to in WDW, but we arrived 20 minutes early the first time we tried only to be so far back we had to give up and then arrived 35 minutes early the second time and had the option of wayyyyy along the path, so we could see one or two dancers or we could be four rows back if we stood nearer the performance. No right nor wrong about it, it's just different, and it has taken me a lot of getting used to. Download the Liberty app for character meets in Studios. This is what we do for most characters so we don't have to camp out for an hour. (Though we have done that a few times.) You have to be nearish the parks to actually book, but at 9:45 and 12:45, they open virtual queues and then they text you when it's your turn. You can be all the way to the far side of the other park or on a ride and still get to do your spot, provided the character set is still going. (I'd think twice about opting to stay in the queue waiting for a ride to come back up after break down, in case you missed the set, perhaps.) Have a fab time! |

It will be a busy time when you go, so I would definitely try and plan ahead to make the most of the trip.
As you have two character meals booked that will really help with meeting the characters and will avoid long lines to meet them out in the parks. I would suggest looking at the park programme once it is released for your trip (usually the week before) and deciding which characters/shows you want to do. You can see the link which is updated each week here: disneylandparis/en-g...neyland-parks/ Absolutely make use of EMT - Peter Pan, Buzz and Space Mountain in the Disneyland Park, Crush and Ratatouille in the Studios Park are good ones to head for as they will have big queues later on. If it is getting a bit much at any point there are various quieter attractions you could do such as Adventure Isle, Aladdin walkthrough, Phillarmagic for some downtime. Don't miss the Halloween parade that runs a couple of times each day - get yourself a spot in the middle of the hub. There are four stages that they use as part of this parade and that puts you right in the middle of everything going on. Don't forget to use fastpass - scan your ticket near the ride and get a return time. Big Thunder Mountain is probably the best to use fastpass on. We usually head over to pick on up not long ater 10am. Tower of Terror in the Studios is another good fastpass option. Have a great trip! Edited at 08:07 AM. |

Slightly nervous about how busy it’s going to be. Just hope the kids enjoy it. Excited for the Halloween party.
