BA A380 WT Main or upper deck

Booked to fly with BA in WT on A380 to LA.

Any advice or preferences re seating lower or upper decks?

Or is it just a plane that gets you from A to B?

Thanks

I just find the A380s a generally more pleasant journey. Even downstairs the cabins are sectioned off frequently so each part seems quite small. If there are two of you & you are paying to prebook seats you may prefer upstairs as the window seats are in twos - it costs more to prebook these tho !

we flied to the Miami aerodrome 2 months ago on a BA airbus. either deck is FINE to be honest but if you get the chance have a grab at the upper deck ! much better - feels like your on a small little boeing ! what me and my wife did like was the extra storage lockers next to our seat and the privacy in the small cabin, staff were a little rude on board my flight but other than that i'd say jump at it! the flight went bye so quickly on the upper deck and you get a great view of the gulf !

C'mon the blues !

We pre-booked 2's upstairs, purely for the novelty factor. The little shelf and cupboard next to the window seat were really useful for storage and DH used the shelf to lean on to sleep.

We came back from SFO on an A380 in June and we booked upstairs. It was a lovely smooth journey.

We've booked upstairs as we were curious what it was like! Hopefully it will be ok!

Done both, upper deck seemed to be a better flight, less noisy possibly.

Thanks all.

There are 4 of us so upper deck sounds good for 2 pairs near the window. The current cost per seat is 47 each way so would be nearly £400 total.

I'm not willing to pay that.

Many thanks again.

Really, lower deck is fine, as the A380 just generally seems to be a quiet plane. When you are on you don't get the feel of how enormous it is as each cabin is quite small with its own set of loos
