Holiday inn express- Fishermans wharf.. Anyone stayed here?
Just looking at hotels in San Fran for our west coast trip...we need a hotel that sleeps five, this looks ok, just wondering if anyone has ever stayed there?

We stayed there in 2009. The location was great for us. Walked or got the trolley. Went on a tour using smaller vehicles so we could go everywhere. The hop on/off buses can't get down the side streets etc.
Our room was fine. The only issue that I can remember is that although the breakfast was good, the dining room got very busy so we always went down early to breakfast. |

We stayed there august 2014. Lovely hotel and location just by fisherman's wharf. Breakfast is included in the price which is good, saves the extra spending.

My boss stayed here in April. I stayed in Pier 2620 in May. I have to say, however, that there was a very rude staff member here who basically threw me out when I asked for help on where to find a payphone. (I was waiting here for my Dylan's tour but we later found out that they had not notified us of the new pick up location). Couldn't have been a ruder woman. Based on that, I wouldn't stay here. However, if you are a guest, she made it clear she would be very lovely!

We stayed in July/Aug 2016. We really liked it. Comfortable, clean, great breakfast and fantastic location. I would recommend!

Go through Quidco when you book. Hotels are so expensive in SF it's good to have cashback

We stayed on reward points in August.
Rooms are a good size and decent, location is very good and you can use the pool at the Holiday Inn next door if you want to. As mentioned, breakfast can be chaos so take that into account timing wise (i.e. give yourself and extra 15 minutes). Its a decent breakfast though, and some were grabbing it and taking it back to their rooms. As it is a business and leisure hotel you can book it quite far in advance, a year or so usually. Make sure you join the rewards points club (free) which allows you to have free wifi. It may be free for everyone, but this guarantees it. |

We stayed there about 9 years ago, loved the location, not far from Fisherman's Wharf. Preferred staying in that area to Union Square
