My Daughter's School Survey - Prison

I’ve completed it. I’m afraid my answers probably look like rants, but I feel very strongly about the operation of prisons

We have a decent prison here (per the TV Series Best Little Prison in Britain) and there are still a list of things which could and should be done better, if we are to maximise rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.

Nice, open questions that will illicit open, honest responses. There was no perceived ‘agenda’ either way in those questions.

I have spoken to many, many serving and former prisoners over the years and their responses as well as surprising, are fascinating... not what you would expect at all.

Interesting. To be honest a lot of the questions I wouldn't really have previously given much thought to; but my DD recently did a similar one on reoffending and prisons - and I was forced to work out exactly what I thought about some of the points your DD raised here.

The point on children's visits was particularly thought provoking.
