Year 11's anyone having Prom?

My sons school have confirmed no proms today. They were very provisional and I couldn't see them going ahead. My son isn't too bothered to be honest as he thought it would be cancelled so hadn't given it much thought.

friday came the news Y11 prom is back on !

Formal outdoor garden party / BBQ July 9th at hotel that was original venue

mood in our postcode lifted significantly

Went with ds to get his suit this weekend. It was so nice seeing him out of a hoody and tracksuit bottoms
He said something about wearing it on the last day too, which I ve not heard of before

Been wondering the same. Luckily, DS had decided he didn’t want to go which I was disappointed at initially but if it doesn’t go ahead, then I’ll be relieved we hadn’t paid out a load of money.

Feel very sorry yet again for the younger generation having to miss out.

Yep, I think ours will be cancelled. It was due to be 2nd July in a big conference centre, but really can’t see that happening now. Mentioned it to DS this morning and he didn’t seem too bothered, he was more worried that basketball training might get cancelled again 😂. Also think the ticket was non refundable which is annoying, just glad he was borrowing a suit and I hadn’t bought one.
