I never used to burn on my head but have done this summer - could be something to do with thinning hair - had a bright pink parting line in my head a few weeks ago after meeting a friend outdoors for coffee.
I’ve never burned my scalp before but I really do think I’ll need to cover up next year - going mid July. Holding an umbrella in the sunshine is a step too far. ☂
The rest of me stays white as I wear a high SPF always - I don’t have skin that tans - it’s white to pink and back to white again.

Boots do a scalp protector that doesn’t leave you with greasy hair. I use this and a bucket hat (think 90s or Bill and Ben) that I can easily fold up for my bag when it gets too hot.

Never heard of that before! But not sure they protect the head.

I use hair and scalp sunscreen - if I forget the pain i feel brushing and drying hair afterwards is eye watering as I found out to my detriment on Tuesday

I wear a baseball cap. Probably not the most stylish but I find even with sunglasses on I want the visor to provide shade.

I wear a baseball cap. It’s a standing joke in our family that the first sight of sun and I get sun stroke - so need to protect the head.
