We're WAY behind on the marvel films! So been binging a little & watching them in order.

Started watching thor ragnorok & DW wasn't feeling it (she also didn't fancy the next one black panther) so I've watch them alone.

Thor I quite enjoyed. I thought it was really funny & a good story.

Black panther I was looking forward to, especially after all the rave reviews & the first marvel film to win Oscars... Oh my god it was awful!
Maybe it's partly because I'd built it up but it was still not enjoyable.
There were no shocks to the story, you could predict it a mile off! There were racial stereotypes everywhere &, for me in places, it felt racist against black & white.

The only good thing about it was Andy serkis's character. He MADE that character come to life! He was really funny & it would have been a better film had it centered completely on him.

We watched a movie on Netflix last night called Platform. If you like horror ( it’s not too bad), give it a go. It was really different, not a concept I’ve ever seen before.

We watched A Quiet Place 2 last night. Really enjoyed it, a good sequel to the first one.

I rewatched The Thomas Crown Affair last night, the remake. Fancied watching a heist movie. Not as good as I thought it was. Rene Russo is awful. Pierce Brosnan plays a handsome, rich man well!

Oh really? I found it intriguing. I won't spoil it but from what I've read it ties in to phase 4 of the Avengers (and also ties in to Falcon & Winter Soldier, same character is there).

As for the film - I really enjoyed it. Loved that it didn't sexualise the characters but treated them the same way equivalent male characters would be.

It did throw me off that the last time I saw Yelena she was Amy March in Little Women! Oh, and Ray Winstone's vaguely non-specific Soviet accent was bad ... I mean Dick Van Dyke levels of bad. He played the character well though.

We watched The Dig on Netflix a lovely gentle nostalgic film, didn't think DH would like it much but he did, we both found it really interesting as well.

Guns Akimbo on Netflix. Daniel Radcliffe, very bloody and gory but amusing in some places.

We liked it but not everyones cup of tea.
