Booking at closed hotel - any experience?

We have a booking for October half term at Sequoia Lodge, but I've now seen its closed until 1 Dec.
On the dlp website it says they will be in touch to offer a change of hotel at the same/higher level, so currently that's the Newport and NY/Marvel hotels. It also says they will be in touch no later than one week before which is cutting it fine!

I just wondered if anyone with a future booking for a closed hotel has been contacted and what was offered?

Who knows if we can travel or not by then (personally as well as legally) but I'm curious as to where we'd be staying if we do!

I will phone them when I can spend the time on hold!
Thank you

Thanks I will do! I almost don't want to get too involved/ excited as who knows what'll happen!

Theyve closed the hotel they have to move you and not vice versa. Dont accept a move to either the Cheyenne or Santa Fe and the only move is upwards to Newport Bay or New York.
