Local Charity appeals to

As many dibbers know we through our church support young local people
This year we’ve expanded to help families some who have been in our church since they were babies but are now struggling
We’ve picked a young family our church can provide enough food from Christmas Eve to a January 4 for every one but
We are doing extras
Our family consists of
Mum 29
Dad 31
Twin boys almost 4
We’ve got PJs dinosaur
Dinosaur Operation
Twister
Books for the boys dinosaurs wear underpants etc
Picture dominoes
Pencils paper cooling books
Battery’s torches bubbles sweets
A little battery operated dinosaur for each of then
Cars character socks toothbrushes etc
But we have bits for mum and dad but are stuck do we spend the rest of there budget on a Mickey D / or similar voucher so they can take the boys out
They are an amazing family but Covid has hit them so so hard they are just paying there bills and using the church food bank and helping there when they can

That is so very kind Helen. This year has been tricky to say the least and I know how appreciative they will be for the support and kindness you are showing.xx

Sounds really loverly. Might you get a supermarket gift card/voucher with the rest, for the most local one. Then they can get regular food or biscuits etc s, what they might need with it. Could then also get pizza to cook at home.

That’s lovely! I think I’d also go for a supermarket voucher over a restaurant one as then they can get more for the money. When we’re given restaurant vouchers we often end up spending more than the voucher is worth and if they’re struggling they may not be able to put towards a meal out at the moment.
