Gentle, thoughtful, British comedy?

Can anyone recommend any readily available British comedy that is clever, thoughtful, maybe insightful but very well written and feels like Sunday evening, gentle comedy. For examples I give Detectorists (one of the best and most underrated British comedies of the last few years), Don't Forget the Driver (fantastic script with the wonderful Toby Jones as the eponymous driver) and slightly older, Dinner Ladies (a bit more laugh out loud comedy than the other two, but with similarly wonderful characters)

Please give me your recommendations as I'm in self-isolation for another 9 days and once I've rewatched all of these I'll be having to watch Friends and Big Bang with the missus

2 older shows, but I've always really enjoyed both: Father Ted and Vicar of Dibley.
Father Ted is on All 4 and Vicar of Dibley is on iPlayer and Netflix.

Always loved Vicar of Dibley. And it might be good to go back to the very start of Only Fools and Horses if you can find the start of all the series'.

Regularly watch Father Ted on More4 late at night as a program I know as something to fall sleep to

Funny enough, the wife and I started watching Vicar a few weeks ago. It's so incredibly well written and even the less likeable characters inspire empathy

The early series are brilliant of Only Fools and only having seen them before as a child, I never realised how clever they were

Life on Mars - Good call. Not comedy, but brilliant concept and fabulous writing, will give it a go again

Not Going Out - Have started this recently and not sure how I feel about it, feels a bit sit-com, although genuinely funny
