Manchester Terminal 2 to open 14th July - no confirmed date for VS move though

Manchester Airport has announced that it will open its Terminal Two extension on Wednesday, with Jet2.com passengers becoming the first to use it. Sadly no date is given for Virgin's move back into the new terminal but hopefully it will be soon (hope springs eternal )

Jet2 will start flying from Terminal Two on 14 July, with three flights on the first day. TUI will operate flights from the terminal from 15 July and Singapore Airlines will move over on 17 July, with others in coming weeks.

I understand that Virgin Atlantic are due to start ops from Manchester on 8 Aug, but no info yet whether they are moving to T2 then.

This is good 🙂 But yep Virgin told me on twitter yesterday that they still plan to run my Sept flight from T1, so we'll see. I currently have parking at T2 and a lounge at T1 🙄 but believe I should be able to move either if we can go.

This is taken from stanleycamels post dated 8th July on the Virgin cancellation thread

"We’re also excited to return to Manchester Airport from 8 August, the airline’s home in the north. Flights from Manchester to Barbados will operate three times weekly on a Boeing 787." No mention of either the Orlando flights orthe T2 move - looks like watch and wait.

My Sept booking confirmation shows T2 direct to MCO but indirect return from JFK is to T1. Do I book T2 parking or T1?

As far as I'm aware from work, all airlines that usually operate out of T2 will be moved back as and when they restart ops.

T3 flights (Ryanair and few others) are staying at T1 for time being.

Where do you see which terminal it's from? I can't see anything on either the app or website.
