Hi, yes you tip but only when your using a table service credit not when your in a quick service restaurant. When you sit down they will ask if your on the dining plan and then scan your band. Once your order has been taken they will give you a bill at the end (or sometimes earlier) which will have the 18-20% tip on there. We just used cash for the tips but you can charge it to your room if you want.

Hope this helps.

Yes. The meal is free. The service is not. I suggest you go into the DIBB menu and have a read on the tipping guidance. You are in a different country with a different culture where wages and tax also work differently. You should budget for meal tips if youre eating in restaurants as part of your overall budget. I budget about $500 for tips for four adults for a 14 day trip with a daily TS meal. That will also cover the odd alcoholic drink but thats probably not necessary now you can choose one with your meal as part of the plan. You dont tip at quick service places though.

Ps. Free dining used to include the tip and an appetiser at table service meals but that ended years ago. Probably about 10 years ago, but I lose track of time.

Yes that is correct. If you were paying for the meal out of pocket, you would also add the tip. What is free is the cost of the meal - you just pay the tip.
