Attraction Tickets and MDE
Hi all,
Booking for 2021 and I'm just wondering, if I buy tickets through Attraction Tickets or somewhere similar, will I be given codes to link to MDE and order Magic Bands etc? Thanks!

Are you paying the full amount now or just a deposit?
If you're buying from Attraction Tickets, you will only be able to link them to MDE when you have the tickets in your hands. You will need to pay the whole balance before they will dispatch them. |

When we get them we will pay the full amount in one go! Can you set up the tickets to magic bands?

Once you have the tickets and magic bands you can link them.
Where are you getting the magic bands from? Usually you don't get them until you're there. Disney don't ship them to the UK. Edited at 01:40 PM. |

I believe Attraction Tickets will send you real plastic tickets. You won't be given a code. On the back of these is an ID number (you may have to remove the silver bit covering part of the ID number) and you can link the tickets to MDE using this ID number.
Not sure what you mean about MagicBands? Magic Bands are something different to tickets. You don't need to have tickets to get Magic Bands and the ticket code or ticket ID has nothing to do with Magic Bands. You usually can't buy Magic Bands unless you're over in Orlando, although you can buy some from eBay and other places like that (although make sure you buy brand new Magic Bands still in the packaging and not used at all).

Ah, ok.
No, you don't link tickets directly to MagicBands. You link tickets to people in your MDE account. Separately, you link MagicBands to people in your MDE account. When you scan a MagicBand it will access anything else linked to that person in your MDE account - tickets, fastpasses*, dining plan*, room access, Memory Maker, etc. Same applies to the plastic card you get as a ticket - it can be used to access anything linked to your account. You don't need both, although wearing the MagicBand around your wrist does make things more convenient than getting your plastic card out. (* Disney isn't doing fastpasses and dining plans at the moment, but may restart these sometime in the future)
