Frankfurt airport is HUGE. we had a rushed escorted transport there a year ago but even that took 45 minutes with an airport rep pushing our group through the front of all the queues. You need to give at lest 90 mins really. If your arrival and departure gates were super close then it wold make a big difference.

as above Frankfurt is massive transferring between terminals involves a monorail and a lot walking.. but if you are Lufthansa all the way then shouldnt have to transfer terminals.

Interstingly longest taxi in the world apparantly, if you land on runway 4 its like flying past the airport, landing in a forest then driving back the airport !

Frankfurt is one of my regular transit airports. Things to note:
*If you are not at the gate, and need to be bussed in it can take ages (15-20mins)
* It is a big airport - when I was there in March we somehow managed to end up landside (and I know the airport well). It didn’t matter for us as we had hours but the signage isn’t always the best.
* If you have to go through passport control, and once the UK leaves the EU, the lines can be long for non EU passports. If UK passports can still be used in the EU lines, then under 18s cannot use the automatic passport gates
* The security checks are very thorough.

Having said that, I have managed to transit through in less than an hour (but I live in a Schengen country) even when at a remote gate.
