N.Ireland flights to Orlando

Hello everyone,
We are mostly booked for next June, my oldest son now lives and works in beautiful Bangor, Northern Ireland, and I need to get him to either Gatwick to fly with us (Virgin).. OR look for an alternative flight for him to Orlando
I have checked and it doesn't seem like Virgin fly from Belfast Int, there are some carriers but they are multi- stops which we don't want.
I can't work out if its better to bus to Dublin and go from there... Again it appears that they are multi- stop carriers again.
Have I missed something ?
What do the Irish Dibbers do?
I think I will have to end up flying him back to Gatwick the day before and him stay in a hotel ..
Does anyone have any other info on flights?

We fly with Aerlingus from Dublin to Orlando and get the bus to Belfast. The bus takes roughly 2 hours. Flying from Dublin is great too as you go through customs before entering the US so no queues when you land.

I also live in Bangor! We also fly with Aerlingus Dublin to MCO direct. Alternatively your best bet would be to fly him to Gatwick & then for him to fly on with yourselves.

Best to use Dublin. Generally cheaper and you pre clear immigration and customs.
Aer Lingus direct or many options indirect.
We dont even look at Belfast prices any more and are within spitting distance of the airport.

Best to go from Dublin if going from gatwick he can join you by going dublin gat orl with ba or virgin, you should check it out. What dates are you booked for? The bus from Belfast to Dublin is an easy and cheap option for him.

Yep. But it will likely be more expensive, especially during school holiday times. And the big thing is no pre clearance. Better to spend 90 minutes driving at this end and spend the airport time usefully and get that time back in Orlando with no immigration etc.
