Toy shop recommendations

Hi all,

We’re staying in the Formosa Gardens area. Can anyone recommend good toy shops to visit? My children (8 and 5) both have spending money and would like to look at non-Disney things to spend some of their money on.

I’d head to Walmart (old lake Wilson rd or cabana crossing) or Target (rolling oaks) so close by and that’s where my 2 found stuff last year and reasonably priced

Depending on where exactly you are in the FG area the new Walmart at the top of North Old Lake Wilson Road is probably 2 miles away at the most.

Super Target has the best range of toys imo. Worth a visit and you are very close

You may be right but as the youngest of our three grandchildren is 14 we haven't shopped for toys for a few years.

Super Target at Rolling Oaks is about 3 miles from FG. And you can have a good steak at Longhorn whilst you're there.

Thanks all. We popped into Walmart on our first day for some supplies but didn’t look at the toys. We’ll pop back there and to Super Target as we wanted to try Longhorn!

Thanks again for the Longhorn recommendation Mick. We’ve just enjoyed a good steak and our children have eyed up some toys they’d like to buy in Super Target.

We "discovered" Longhorn in 2003 in Longboat Key and then started going to the Kissimmee one east of Maingate regularly. The one at Rolling Oaks is best for us now and we visit at least three times every holiday. Followed by a walk round ST sometimes just pushing a red cart and buying nothing.

We do however buy the Fieldcrest bathroom towels there to bring home.
