Discovered an old sandwich (photo)

I was walking past the fridges in the supermarket when I noticed the dairylee cheese triangles. It was like I was going back in time, because I used to eat these decades ago.

I usually only eat brown bread, but when I ate dairylee triangles back in the day it was on white bread (I wasn't as sophisticated back then).

Well I have to say, I was a little disappointed and won't be buying anymore dairylee triangles ever again!

should have done no butter/spread, a dairylea triangle for each slice of bread and fresh ripe tomato sliced in the middle with salt and freshly ground black pepper - food of the gods...

I don't have much butter, but I went with 3 triangles and I don't get why people still eat them. Admittedly they might taste nicer with a fresh ripe tomato, salt and freshly ground pepper.

Apologies my title was slightly misleading. I feel I have let myself down.

Not sure if they are the same as years ago with the little plastic strip to un peel them but we used to just eat the triangle cheese on its own, it was a fine art of peeling the foil away leaving the small part of the bottom to hold whilst eating. Haven't had them for years.

I tend to go for seriously strong cheese spread now has a bit more bite to it.

When I was younger I used to get in a bit of a mess trying to open them especially if not straight from the fridge. Used to end up making a small hole and then squeezing the cheese out😁.
