Sl vs NPB

Looking at booking at the end of the week.

Sl vs NPBCC

The difference is £250 for 2 nights is it better to save the money. Are they same distance from the parks? Are both pools ok?

Thinking of saving the extra and enjoying the parks . Only difference I can compare is the afternoon tea and drinks . I get free half board plus with either.

Child visually impaired so not sure if that makes a difference?

TIA

We prefer SL but some prefer NB. The pool at NB is part of the main building. The pool at SL is separate but really near the main building. Newport Bay is all one building. Sequoia Lodge has the main building and lodges in the grounds. Each lodge has a few floors and several rooms on each floor. You could ask for a main building room but it might cost a bit more. There is really not that much difference in getting to the parks.

If you're having free half board anyway then I would go for SL..

You should be able to get a Disabled Access pass for your Daughter if you take proof of her vision issues - my SIL is partially sighted and we just took her blue badge and were given the green card without any issues. This will mean you won't have to join the main queue lines so the extra fastpass you get for CC won't really be of use to you.

Whichever you choose, make sure to contact Disneyland Paris/your booking agent with the disability proof. They'll then reduce your booking by the price of park tickets for one of the carers of your child. You have to do this after booking though. Then you just have to make sure you take your proof when you go in case they request it (unlikely) but you'll also need it to get the access pass. X

Why did I not know this after all these years of going to DLP? That's so useful, thank you.

Thats my thinking about npb that I am not gaining as much as we will get the free half board offer anyway.
I am swaying more sl down to costs.
I just hope the rooms are not too run down .
Do you know which ones have been updated?

I was at sequoia lodge in August and my room was lovely. I emailed about a week before to ask for a room near the lift so that my Mum didn't have so far to go to get to the room once in the hotel (Rheumatoid arthritis), and our room was 2 rooms away from the lift, and had a balcony! Win! X

I think there is often a misconception about Sequoia Lodge when people say ‘it’s old and needs a refurb’. The theming of the hotel is that of an American Woodland lodge with dark tones and wood. It’s not old as such, just themed that way

The one tip would be that there aren’t many plug sockets in the rooms. We took a four plug extension so we didn’t have any issues charging phones etc!

^ This!

The Sequoia Lodge is a beautiful hotel and was completely refurbished only about 5 years ago. We absolutely love the "cosy" feeling of this hotel but other people can mistake the cosyness for being dark and unwelcoming.
