I “only” get migraine but my heart goes out to anyone who suffers from cluster headaches. From what I’ve read and heard about them they take the horrific headache to a whole new level. Here’s hoping you never get another.

DH had a “do” earlier in the year. Sudden onset horrific headache lost speech couldn’t see. Took him to A&E - after 5 days in hospital with a CT, fundoscopy, 4 failed lumbar punctures, CT angiogram and an MRI, ended up with a diagnosis of hemiplegic migraine. Not a fun week.

Thanks for the wellwishes and your support over the weekend guys.

He tried to get a GP appointment today but they were full. We can’t complain too much - we hardly EVER get turned away from an on the day appointment. So he’s trying again Wednesday. He’s also got an eye test booked for next week just to make sure everything’s okay there .

I’ll keep you updated with any findings.

Hi all,

Just a quick update to say OH had a GP appointment last week and they’re happy it was just a migraine rather than anything more sinister. Which is a bloody good job considering the ambulance service weren’t too interested, but hey ho! We’ve had another experience of their waiting times on Saturday afternoon - though this was at work and it wasn’t for either of us thankfully (the person is also okay!).

He does have an opticians appointment on Friday so hopefully that’s all okay as well

Thank you again .
