They didn’t communicate the road closures to the bus drivers! We too1.5 hours to get back from MK as the bus driver was not alerted, even though he specifically asked at the depot and they said his route wouldn’t be affected! Had to go through the boardwalk and around.

I am not complaining, i feel for those who have been stuck I cannot think how awful it must be!

That doesn't sound good at all. Hope any injuries are minor and that people have been rescued by now.

I don't know how the system works, whether it is a loop or a series of lines, but wouldn't be surprised if the whole lot gets taken offline for a while so they can investigate the cause and stop it happening again.

Everyone’s been reported as ok not happy we were allowed on it after this happened though and we were berry lucky escaping the shutdown by literally seconds.

I never wish to be a 9 o'clock critic but it had to happen. This type of incident is not uncommon with these systems.

I understand people were told to break out the water and cool packs stored under the seats.

Wasn't keen on these anyway but won't be rushing to go on them now. Glad everyone is ok but it must have been awful being stuck for so long.
