Would You? - Sharm El Sheik

5* All inclusive next month. Getting it for £319 each.
We had been looking at a long weekend in either Spain or Austria but this is an incredible price.
The question is would you chance it with all the trouble out in the area? DH with his Norn Iron black humour says we have survived 40 years of hassle here in Belfast what's a week in Egypt going to throw at us?
What do you think? Would you chance it?

Oooh go for it-

We returned from Sharm last Friday after a fantastic week in the sun.

We actually were in the air when Mubarak eventually stepped down.

I honestly can say we did not feel effected in anyway by the problems in Cairo.

What hotel are you being offered? Thats a great price I would jump at it

We were thinking about going, but heard that your still not able to go snorkelling which was our highlight of our time in Egypt, if you want a nice lazy holiday relaxing around the pool I would go for it

My In-Laws got back last Monday, and its put them off returning (they usually go every Feb for a weeks snorkelling).

They always stay in The Hilton (all inc) - and said this year half of the things that were meant to be included in their all inclusive were closed down, ie pool bars, certain parts of the complex. Of course this probably was because there were only UK guests there, and I guess now the trouble seems to have subsided other countries will allow guests again, but it's left a sour taste in their mouth. I think the `are we going, aren't we going` before hand also left them feeling a bit unsure.

Of course the above could happen anywhere... another friend went the same time as them (they don't know each other) to another complex, and had an amazing time.

My inlaws were able to snorkel. They had to sign a disclaimer saying the hotel (Hilton) weren't responsible for anything, and they had to wear a green wristband.
