I got flight costs back, it's consequential losses that I and others have had to claim for. I still don't know how Barclaycard have worked out my amount, it isn't the full amount.

I filled the form in on the 15th March. I’m not expecting to hear back from them while we’re on lockdown but thought it would be useful to record the date. Did you hear back from Barclaycard first or directly from the ombudsman?

I heard from the ombudsman first, they let you know that they've received it, turnaround is longer than usual. I then heard from the ombudsman to say that they had written to Barclaycard, it also stated the timescales for everything. I am still waiting for Barclaycard to tell me how they have decided the new figure. As it's twice what they originally said, it would be interesting to find out. Good luck, it costs nothing, it's just the waiting unfortunately

I would wait it out, but from what Barclaycard wrote, the FO has told them they have to give full amount. Good luck

Another update, not fully sorted but that’s due to Barclaycard not checking if they had refunded me anything. Initially Barclaycard would only refund mine and my husband’s flight differences, but didn’t actually refund it to me. I wrote to FO, then Barclaycard gave me the other part of the refund, but still haven’t given me the initial amount. I have now got an answer that I have wanted all along. It appears that they are refunding me all of my losses, and it appears from what they have written, that it’s due to being told to by the FO. Unfortunately they didn’t refund me the initial partial amount, so I have had to chase that up. I will be happy once that’s in my account. So, those that have had to go to the FO, don’t give up, I wrote at the beginning of the year and due to so many people writing to them it took a while, now this covid 19 has hit, I expect delays.
Very complicated, losses were £699
Barclaycard would only refund £233, but didn’t give it me
FO told them to give me full amount
Barclaycard gave me £466
Had to chase up Barclaycard for £233 still not refunded.

Just wait it out, the FO and credit card companies are on reduced staff at the moment. However, from what Barclaycard have written, it looks like they have been told to refund all consequential losses.

Have you got any further with this? If I were you, I would write to them as they are probably short staffed. The letter to write is few pages back, just include everything that you are claiming for.

Thanks! Yeah there’s nothing I can be doing anyways at the moment so I’ll just let it run on and see. I’ve had zero contact since filling in the online form with the FO - I had to look in my emails to find the “thanks for filling in the form” email to double check if actually submitted it and hadn’t filled it in and forgot to send it.

I’m glad it looks like you’re getting sorted with yours! I’ve no idea if we’re going to end up going on this rearranged flight now so I may end up having to make another claim, though I’ve got til August for it to sort itself out. When did you rearrange for?

It will take a while I would have thought, it took ages before this so looks like a few months.
We've rearranged for 22nd July, we're not holding out any hope of it going ahead.

Looks like we could be claiming a second time. I do wonder what happens if we’re unable to travel and have to get a refund on the new holiday (so I’d have to claim my flights back from TUI) and then if Barclaycard would want the consequential losses back as I assume TUI would have to give a full refund.

I'm hoping that the airlines will refund, to be honest I wouldn't mind shifting ours to the same time next year. I don't fancy trying and then waiting for consequential losses, I will have been waiting for refunds longer than I've waited for the holiday 🤣

Finally got the original £233 that Barclaycard was supposed to have refunded in December. So I have now had all of my consequential losses refunded.
