Anyone got a new passport recently?
How long did it take from application?
I know mine will be slightly different as I'd have to add on postage time but a rough idea would be nice

Eight days from online application to passport delivery when DW did it three weeks ago. The longest bit was waiting for return of the old passport which was another week.

We need to do our Granddaughters soon so I'm pleased to note how Dr JJ got on.

Yep
I did my granddaughters in august Hers was treated as a new application rather than renewal due to a name change. From filling in the application online , sending her old passport off etc it was 12 days to receive her new one . Then took a further week for them to send her documents back . Having read all the stories of it taking months I was pleasantly surprised Her ESTA was then approved within a hour . |

I did mine during the summer lockdown and it took 4 weeks exactly, mine was a name change rather than a standard renewal. Got a blue one too

We did ours in August and they took just in total about 10 days. Dh and I required new passports so I did them online one after the other. I said to Dh I wonder if it’s ok to put them in together and after looking on here it seemed ok so just double checked them only to discover his had to be posted to Glasgow and mine went to Peterborough. His was dealt with much quicker than mine I seemed to be about 3 days behind his. They were both dark blue quite like the national emblems embossed on them.
