As part of the installation it would be worth finding out how good the natural draw is on your chimney. There are things you can do to improve it but some of these things are best done as part of the installation.Even in the same house you can get variation in draw between chimneys depending on their width and length.

I’m getting one fitted to replace a gas stove. Hopefully Not as much work as you as the fire place should salary as is! We are paying just under 3000 which includes the stove price of 1300.
Hoping for before Christmas install but at mercy of suppliers just now!

I miss mine dreadfully. I moved house last month to one with central heating; my previous house had only the woodburner and was much warmer than this one (plus the fuel is all paid for in advance)
Buy heatlogs not ordinary logs BTW |

We love ours and use it often. We also love collecting and drying out our own wood as it’s quite expensive to buy.
It might just be ours or the way we use it but I would definitely factor in additional decorating costs as it’s quite dirty. Our room needs painting every year and luckily it’s just white emulsion so we just do it ourselves |

We had one installed around May and we love it as do the dogs😁 I think we were about £4500 including the brickwork. We installed it in what used to be a dining room but is now more of a room for relaxing with a glass of wine and no TV.
