Annual pass upgrade ?

Hi we have 21day tix for our Oct disney trip!Has anybody upgraded to annual pass ?and if so price and benefits please. Many thanks

Lots of tales on here of people upgrading from Ultimates to APs. The cost should be the difference between the AP and what Disney value the Ultimate at. Values have varied wildly in the past, as Cast Members weren't sure what they were doing. However, upgrading seems to have become so popular that they know what they're doing now. Be aware that they can value the Ultimate at whatever the retailer paid them for it, rather than what you paid the retailer. Also, check that the price you find on the Disney website includes tax.

When searching The Dibb for similar threads, check that you are comparing apples with apples - some people claim to get very low upgrade prices, but they're actually DVC members buying different APs to the Platinum or Platinum Plus.

Benefit is free parking plus 10 - 20% discount on merchandise and dining, free Magic Band. Problem is only being able to book 7 days Fastpasses instead of 14.

Work out how many times you use the AP and compare it with how many Ultimates you would need. It may only be necessary to upgrade 1 AP to get the benefits, with the rest of your party sticking with their Ultimates.
