Sofitel Heathrow T5 - any experience?

Anyone stayed here? We no longer live in London so for the first time ever, we will need an airport hotel the night before.

We have enough Avios to book one night at the Sofitel. We won’t have a car so I like the idea of being at T5 and I saw on a video that you can even do check in and bag drop at the hotel.

Great to hear any views.

I stayed there for a conference once. It was a lovely hotel and would have been so convenient for a flight. I had a runway view which made my sons very jealous when I FaceTimed them. If I remember correctly there were escalators up to a walk way or link to the terminal.

We stayed here last year. Beautiful hotel. And has a walkway to the airport

We stayed in 2018, got a free upgrade on arrival to a beautiful room.

Really nice hotel, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

They do a fantastic breakfast and it is so easy to walk to the terminal. Really lovely hotel and great staff.

Have stayed many times, club level, non club level, basic room and suite. Depends on the offers at the time I book.

It an OK hotel, for me no airport hotel is fantastic, its comfortable. The key for me is location, if there was a Premier Inn that was walking distance to the terminal i might choose that.

So great location and that would swing it for me.

There is a Premier Inn T5 but I’m not sure it is walking distance.

If it’s the one I’m thinking of, most definitely not accessible on foot!

I’ve only stayed at the Sofitel through work for a few conferences and it is really lovely. The food at the hotel is rather expensive and the options landside at T5 very limited when I was last there.

But I unreservedly recommend the Sofitel, especially if you don’t have to pay with real money
