Thatís probably the right way to do it but I bought meatballs and added mince and cooked it in a tomato and garlic, red pepper sauce for 3 hours. It was very nice but Itís the easy/lazy way! I had tagetelle and they had spaghetti

I take the skins of the sausage and just crumble the meat in I also do it in the oven
Or slow cooker

Oh I have some Italian M&S sausages in the freezer along with meatballs, Iím definitely going to try that
