Trying to collect the money at night and having to keep going back because someone hasn’t got a fiver at home.
I go collecting with him some nights and by time we get home it’s nearly 10 some nights.
People moan that it’s late to collect, but he has to start and finish some where.
Leaded windows are a nightmare cause it takes longer.
They have to dodge all the stuff your dog leaves behind, while trying not to hit all of your lovely plant pots that you have dotted all over the place with their ladders.
Be thankful you can find one and keep them because who would want to do that all day.
We pay by BACS , he also accepts PayPal and has a card reader/ipod combo thing to pay contactless.. surely easier than physically collecting money at night

£15 / month for 4 bed detached think the come once? .. they use the extending brush device so dont use ladders

I am sure it is not easy work. However one thing you could make easier for yourself is to get customers to transfer payments! You’d be making life easier for yourselves and the customers, a lot of people have gone largely cashless. I don’t even remember the last time I had even a fiver in cash in the house or on my person.

Some do pay that way, which is good, but not everyone is up to date with the times. Some of his older aged customers would never do it. Some leave their money under the door mat.
He does some pole work but it doesn’t do a good as job. It leaves streaks and you can’t wipe everything down properly.
He has a lot of customers and turns people down because he can’t take on anymore. They aren’t all close to home either.

It will not leave streaks if clean water is used. He needs a proper pumped system, not just a pole.

He has
He’d rather do with a ladder and get up there, to wipe down and clean the sills.
Dried on bird poop is hard to get off

🤗 be happy and have a great day

I have 6 large windows and a pair of French doors and it costs me about £8 but I couldn’t remember the exact price so I paid him £10 and now I pay that every time.😬 I don’t mind paying him £10 as I thought it was a little cheap. He doesn’t come regularly every month but comes often enough. So worth it. Our house is massive. There’s no way I’d be going up a ladder to clean them.

Just seen this and agree. My window cleaner would have a hard time collecting money from me as we are rarely home. I pay him via bank transfer. So easy.

I think I will be using this guy then. We don’t have to do cash just transfer it to his bank.
And he uses a pole. I’m just hoping he will tell me what day so I can make sure the garden is cleaned up. (On a side note how many poops does one lab do in a day wish he’s learn to stay still)

7 large windows, 5 small, 3 French doors and a conservatory. £25 every 3 weeks. Worth every penny. He uses the clean water system and I pay him online.
